Special kind of
track machines manoeuvre i.e. counter rotational turn was analysed
in the paper. This way of travelling is adequate mainly
for track loaders and for multi terrain loaders i.e. for track version
of skid steer mini loaders (“bobcats”).
Simultaneously the necessity of making that motion with as small as
possible ground destroying effect is obvious from agricultural point
It is easy to explain that turning parameters are connected with main
dimensions of tracks therefore we should pay attention for looking
optimum shape of driving units.
In the paper the
algorithm of counting and then drawing the 2-D moving track shoe’s path was described. For the comprehensive track
machines (loaders and MTLs) product line the analysis of theirs driving
units parameters (track length L and track gauge B) as well as of driving
physical features like track velocity vteoretical and sleep i was done
to obtain the counter rotational turn with possible smallest shoes’ displacement.
Author prepared the spatial visual presentation of cumulated time
of track shoes vertical load exerting on precisely described area of
turning during counter rotating.
Some conclusions for track driving units producers were drawn as well
as expectations of upgrading in the future the more complicated turning
analysis were sketched.
